I started in Casablanca where I stayed one night and the whole day before I flew to Errachidia. And because as said I had the whole day for me there I decided to go and visit Marabout de Sidi Abderrahmane which I looked at and thought in a couple of years, but never had possibility and time to visit it. But this time ...
I took tramway No. 1 to Ain Diab beach so it was perfect to see a little of Casablanca self too in this short limited time I have. It took about one half hour and because I took wrong No. 1 I had to change it to one other No. 1 LOL. There is 2 tramways with the same number, but one No. 1 goes to Ain Diab beach and the second No. 1 goes to other side, unfortunately I not remember where. But in any case here I got to change in front on some market or what was that. Quite interesting view it was.
It was still a bit complicated with trams, where to insert the ticket, etc. On the way back I bought the ticket in the machine and put in the lock, but then saw that I would go the other way. So I went over the tracks to the other side, but a man came to me and said I can not do that, I need to a new ticket, but might conductor helps me, which he did so I could go to where I would.
In any case, I came to Ain Diab beach and gone along the sea to Marabout, it was about 2 km to go. The beach appeals to me not much but it was fun to watch anyway. Some sat there, but not bathed of course, so hot, it was not. Another washed the horse there in a little creek, etc. so I had to watch while I walked.
At finish I came finally to this small island with Marabout de Sidi Abderrahmaneon and it was a wonderful view over island and the sea also. Next to island it was any cliffs with people who tried to fish, if they got any fish I not know but many men with fishing rod were there.
A couple of year ago there were not any bridge, it is built later then so if people had going to island they needed wade or also wait until tides was gone. I almost thought it would be fun to wade, but there ware quite a lot of water when I was there so I might never have the chance to come over to the island.
As said, the island was not so big and there were not many wickets neither so soon I came to the Marabout. One woman there began to talk with me, it was funny because she talked French which I cannot, but we could communicate anyway. And she said because I am not Muslim I cannot actually go inside. But, because there near us is no any man I can go fast inside and look how it is there inside. But of course I could not take any pictures. Inside there were nice tiles, then some like the pew or what was that with many candles. So I gave to the woman a little dirham for to buy more candles, so they have when they need it.
Then I walked there around the island and instead took a few pictures there. A few animals were there too.
Then it was time to go slowly back. I would actually also go and take coffee at Ricky's because I got question from TA if I was there and if it is something to recommend it for a nice dinner. TA just did research over good restaurants around the world and wondered therefore how it would be there. And because it also was time for me to take a pause and coffee which I like, so it was suitable to go there and see. Otherwise I never before thought to go there, but ... Coffee was very good, cheese cake I took was very good too, it was not so bad place, but it reminded so little of Ricky's in Casablanca movie. It was normal good restaurant but for to have a nice dinner in Morocco it was not right place, in my eyes.
After coffee and cake I continued back to the hotel were I had stored my luggage. But wanted first to go and see souk there in Casablanca also, for to compare it with other souks I already saw or visited in Morocco. I have gone and gone and gone, but began be tired, Medina I found on the way, one other interesting place I saw and looke at also. But souk was hidden for me LOL. Neither tramway station I not saw anywhere. I decide to skip it and waved at one taxi that drove past. Inside was already one passenger who said that they can take me to the tramway station.
And suddenly when I step of the car souk looked at me LOL. I walked inside, did not walked so long time there, only one half circle and out again. It was enough for me to see and I was satisfied.
Actually this I not know what it should be, not nice it was in any case. But every cities have something so even Casablanca.
At night I flew then to Errachidia, my friends already were waiting for me outside so it was nice to meet them again. They have one little girl, Selma; it is funny because Selma is one old Swedish name, and so called they theirs daughter so also. So she will be glad to find me at morning at her home. She is glad actually the whole time, for nothing, only so and I like it and her much. Next to her is her cousin. He saw me first time and maybe was afraid, or?
Wadi Guir
Next morning we started from Errachidia towards BouDenib. We crossed the river Guir and continued to ksar de Tazzouguert were we saw any towers and buildings at the top of the cliff. It was a beautiful gorge of the wadi Guir.
Unfortunately because we had only normal car, Dacia Logan, we could not drive up to ksar or bordj de Tazzouguert, but I think almost that those towers we saw from the road was just this ksar.
We then went past some ruins probably of the old Bordj Archana which was built before the First World War by the French Legion. Got to read that there were also military cemetery of legionaries and Senegalese soldiers killed in ambush in the years 1929 and 1931, but did not find it, unfortunately.
We drove through the nice wadi and overall we saw remains of some old towers and buildings so it seems that there in these area operated probably French Legion everywhere. When we arrived to Gourrama so just before it was an intersection and the road divided into two roads. One went to the right to Beni Tajjite and Talsint where would also be a waterfall, not big but anyway. And the other road went to the left toward Rich so we took this road of course. I would love to but there was no more time. The route was still quite long and we would be in the evening back in Errachidia.
It was really nice here overall, we drove past and through gorges, along the river, palms and small villages. The life there seemed so calm and silent. It would be worth to have a 4x4 and drive also off the road, but ... one other time hopefully.
Detour to the desert
Even this time I have been in the desert again Because I love that part of Morocco. Erg Chebbi is marvelous with all those sand dunes and colors of playing all the possible different pink hue. I can sit there and look the whole days and never will be annoyed and bored. Even if it is cloudy it is nice there.
So even then I did one trip by 4x4 behind Taouz, through the mountain for a change. They are nice there, not so high, smoothly and soft. Deserted also.
First we have gone to abandoned village called Ghost, because it says that there is coming every time one goat for a while before it disappear again. But it not came when we were there, maybe it was not time for it yet, LOL. It was not much left of this village, one well, ruins of houses and that's all. But interesting and nice.
And so I have been lucky because after to drive further suddenly we met a realy genuine nomads coming to one well to bring the water for them self and others animals. They self had a camp about 3 km from there so it took quite long time to go with theirs animals and bring the water there.
We shared with them our bread we took with us because we planned to have a simple lunch there out somewhere, probably near to Lost city again. And nomads shared with us dates so it was a really barter.
Then we said goodbye and continued our trip toward Lost city where we had a lunch. It was blowing quite much so we tried to find some good place. There was one small house so we thought it can be good place there hidden from the wind. And when we came inside it was a snake there. I don't know what it was for the snake, but we decided to not go inside in any case. Not necessary to meet him LOL. We found one other small hut and there it seemed to be OK without a snakes. LOL

Barren landscape, really inhospitable would says when looking at the pictures, but it is not harsh at all, it hugs you and calling you to be there, inside and be happy.
