King Mohammed VI in Merzouga

Already the second time I had the honor to be there when the King Mohammed VI came to visit the town and its inhabitants. The first time was in 2000 in Agdz and now it was the second time.
Before his visit, it was great preparations, flags hung everywhere along the road from Rissani to Merzouga, it also planted new trees etc.

Every time the king come to a place he donates money to help with the renovation or new construction. Here in Erg Chebbi, he donated money to arrange ducts plus build a shorter route linking Merzouga with Hassilabied.

Other interesting events I experienced was at the airport in Casablanca where there were lots of Moroccans who were to Mecca this year. At the same time it was also the swine flu and all who would to Mecca was mandatory to get vaccinated. Those who did not do it before they got vaccinated at the airport.
Everywhere were people in white robes, so it was a bit resurrection for everyone even those who would just fly home.
