This time I took flight to Errachidia from Casablanca and
stayed almost the whole week in Errachidia with my friends there. Errachidia is
quite boring town, not so much to see there actually. It is without any order,
a lot dusty, dirty town. But my friends is living a little outside the town in
one oasis there quite nice.
Outside Errachidia is barrage Hassan Dakhil, very big it is. Landscape around the dam seems like a moon landscape. Somewhere I have read that there grow apricots so I was trying to find any tree but without success. Around there were no trees, only small stones and sandy, but not green somewhere. So maybe I mistook the place with some other place.
On other side of Errachidia is very green place instead,
Source blue de Meski, one quite big place with nature swimming pool actually
with more water canals and tunnels through there. It says that woman who could
not be pregnant would go there and take a bath and after it she became pregnant
soon. If it is right, I don't know, have difficult to believe such stories.
Either I have a photographic memory or I botched the
pictures of that though I am convinced that I took some anyway because I see
them for my eyes. But they are away so I can not attach any pictures which is a
shame, ...
I was disappointed. Not of the place as such, it was
beautiful there, if I avoided to look at so many souvenir shop, sellers who
tried to sell you everything possible and also so many people there. Actually
mostly locals who are going there to take a bath. Not so many women, in the
water there was no one woman, there are only guys, they dominated almost the
whole place. So I stayed there not so long time, only gone through the place
and then out again.
In Erg Chebbi I experienced sandstorm. I already
experienced it before so it was nothing new for me. Lucky that we were just
sitting in the car, it was so thick with sand overall so we could not see from
the car anything so we stopped and wait since sandstorm was over which took
about one half hour I think. Everything was sandy, we too because sand
came inside even if all were closed of course.
The weather in Erg Chebbi this time was "angry" and sent to us the whole time clouds and wind, but anyway no rain. It was although wonderful and fun to go in sand dunes, the sand was quite hard so it was easy to walk there. So I was browsing there often but never gone far from the edge, I wanted to be close the whole time in case the weather change and bring more sand storm or rain and thunder.
Then it was time to go back though not to Errachidia but to Ouarzazate because I would fly from there via Casablanca home.
